Welcome to the Falls Twp. Fire Company Capital Project Website. The Falls Twp. Fire Company has been working collaboratively with the Falls Twp. Board of Supervisors regarding the delivery of fire protection services.

Our first due response is one of the most challenging and diverse fire protection areas in Suburban Philadelphia!

Our district area consists of commercial/industrial properties and numerous residential units and a variety of unique risks and target hazards. Transportation hazards include four high speed highways, encompassing 25 miles including rail line transporting passengers, freight, and hazardous materials. Hazmat hazards include three power plants, 27 chemical facilities, two trash handling facilities and two 16” gas pipelines.

Target hazards include a deep-water port, an intermodal rail yard, 60 large (>50,000 sq. ft.) industrial facilities, 30 small (25,000 sq. ft.) industrial facilities, Several large industrial parks, five daycare centers, several private & public schools, hotels, low-income housing, townhomes &  apartment buildings,  churches, strip malls, mercantile and storage facilities.

Plans are in the works for NorthPoint Development Co. to develop 1800 acres of the US Steel site for development into logistic facilities. The project has the potential to add 15 million square feet of new warehouse space, at a cost of $1.5 billion. The developer plans to build warehouses that range in size from 200,000 square feet to up to two million square feet with some buildings being as high as 100’ tall. The project has the potential to add 5,000 to 10,000 jobs to the area. This development will be the largest of its kind along the I-95 corridor.
